So click on the blue/yellow notification barĪnd then click on “Install this add-on for all users on this computer. If you put your mouse there it says “Switch between IE and Chrome.” So when it’s on it is using Chrome natively when you click on it and it goes “Off” and it shuts down like this, it has now switched to Internet Explorer and now I can download the ActiveX controls from Google Chrome. I have a DVR now right here at my location so I’m going to put the IP address then hit “Enter.” Right now it’s not going to show anything. So what you have to do is this: Once you have this “Off” you can enter the IP of your DVR in the address box. This is very easy and very intuitive tool that will allow you to access your DVR from Chrome. So that’s the cool feature right there that you don’t have to mess around to access your DVR from Internet Explorer if you are a Google Chrome user like I am. So you see you can switch from Internet Explorer to Chrome within the same interface of Chrome. When it’s “On” that means it’s using Google Chrome and when it’s off it is using Internet Explorer.

We’ll add the extension to Chrome right now it says “Chrome IE is now installed:” So click on it, then click on “Add to Chrome”

So we’re going to do a search for Internet Explorer Chrome or IE Chrome and under results you may have to scroll down to see this web site.Ĭlick on it and you’re gonna scroll down here and install this tool, it’s called “Chrome IE.” First you have to configure Internet Explorer and then you go to Google Chrome and install the emulator. I did log into the 2wire and add an application in the firwall using port settings given to me by the DVR (4520-4524) and apllied it to the linksys router on the list and still no go. One I go up stream and plug into the 2wire that IP adress is not valid (web page unknown)

I then (as per the samsung manual suggests) opened up my browser, typed that IP in and was directed to the ipolis web veiwer which I was able to log on to and see all 4 cameras in action. if I have the DVR plugged strait to the 2wire it says un able to find router. I plugged my laptop into the linksys and logged into the router found the DVR connection and noted its IP adress (192.168.1.34) configerd this way thr DVR gives me a sucessfull connection status.

I ran a network cable from my 2wire (model3801hgv) to a secondary router (linksys modelE1200) than a patch cable from the linksys to the DVR. I did some research once I installed it and it didnt work and found a thread somwhere that said the 2wire router I am using doesnot allow uPNP which is neciarry to make my system work right, so here is how I have it set up right now. My problem is getting it to function correctly via samsungs web based system ipolis. I bought a "plug and play" dvr/camera system from samsung.

Ok I am not a networking tech by any means but I know how to follow directions and i have done that till I cant go any more and my stuff still doesnt work so here I am.
